We had a really really nice stay, loved the place and will be back. Travelled with our family, overall the hotel was fabulous and perfect. The property had a remote position really close to a pub, and flamingo land.

9 of us stay in this great country inn, we were in Malton for a christening, the guys that run this place couldn't have been any more helpful form the second we arrived to the second we left. Food was great, rooms were welcoming and comfy. Friendly atmosphere all round from staff to locals. Thanks for everything Shaun & Claire, hope to see you again.... Chris (Ireland)

The family room was spacious and clean, but the lack of soundproofing made it hard to relax. The staff went out of their way to provide vegan options, which was a lovely touch.

Helpful staff made our arrival easier.
Our experience was marred by poor room conditions. We were taken to a room on the first floor despite requesting ground floor access. The space was cramped, with a shower that fluctuated in temperature and a lack of basic amenities.

The cozy bar area was nice, but the bed had uncomfortable mattresses.

The room was super comfy with a nice airy feel. The beds were really soft and cozy-slept like a baby! Cleanliness was on point, feel cute. They had tea and coffee making facilities, a nice touch after a long day. But, yeah, a bit more storage would've been great since we had a lot of luggage. Plus, it was a little cramped with all our stuff sprawled around.

Cozy country vibe!
This place surprised us! The staff were super friendly, and we got a clean and comfy Family Room. The food was delicious, loved having dinner at the bar with great local options. Only thing was the bathroom felt a bit small, but it was manageable. Breakfast was also really nice with plenty of choices!

Had a blast with friends! We explored some nearby trails for cycling and horse riding. The staff were super friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious. Plus, the breakfast was fantastic! Don't miss out on the delicious dinner options too!
While the overall experience was great, the room we stayed in lacked storage space, making it a bit cramped for our luggage.

Delicious food and friendly atmosphere
I spent one night in a lovely double room which was not only comfortable, but also impressively clean. The highlight of my stay was the dinner and breakfast. Both meals featured locally sourced ingredients that were bursting with flavor. The staff were friendly. One improvement could be the addition of more storage space in the room for longer stays.

Just an excellent fit for resting at all in Scagglethorpe with reasonable price. The en-suite was fresh and clean, really appreciated the proper full-sized hairdryer. Make sure to enjoy the great food without skipping dessert next time.
